Terms of Service
1. What BorderLog Is
BorderLog is a personal day-tracking tool that helps Canadian permanent residents monitor their physical presence in Canada. It helps you count days toward citizenship eligibility and PR card renewal using IRCC's published formula (1,095 days in a 5-year rolling window).
BorderLog is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. The counts and eligibility dates shown in the app are estimates based on the data you enter. They are not a guarantee of citizenship eligibility or PR renewal status. For immigration decisions, consult a licensed Canadian immigration lawyer or RCIC.
BorderLog is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) or the Government of Canada.
2. Who Can Use BorderLog
You must be at least 18 years old to use BorderLog. By using the app, you confirm that you are using it for personal, non-commercial purposes — to track your own physical presence in Canada.
3. Your Account
Anonymous use: You can use BorderLog without creating an account. Your data is stored locally on your device. If you clear your browser data or switch devices, that data is gone. We cannot recover it.
Signed-in use (free): Creating an account lets us back up your data to our servers. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
Premium ($9.99 CAD, one-time): Premium users can restore their data on a new device. The $9.99 charge is a one-time payment — not a subscription. You pay once and keep the feature forever.
4. Payments and Refunds
Premium is sold as a one-time purchase processed through Stripe. Prices are in Canadian dollars (CAD).
Because premium features are delivered immediately and digitally upon purchase, we do not offer refunds except where required by applicable law. If you have a billing issue, contact us at legal@borderlog.ca.
5. Your Data
You own your trip data. We don't claim any rights to it.
You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter. BorderLog calculates based on what you log — garbage in, garbage out.
See our Privacy Policy for details on how your data is stored and handled.
6. What We're Not Responsible For
BorderLog is provided "as is." We do our best to keep it accurate and available, but we make no guarantees. Specifically:
- We are not responsible for immigration decisions made based on BorderLog's counts or dates.
- We are not responsible for data loss due to device failure, browser clearing, or account deletion.
- We are not responsible for service interruptions.
To the extent permitted by law, Route90 Trucking Inc.'s total liability to you for any claim arising from BorderLog is limited to the amount you paid for the service (maximum $9.99 CAD).
7. Things You Cannot Do
- Use BorderLog to track another person's data without their consent
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or resell BorderLog
- Use automated tools to scrape or abuse the service
- Use BorderLog for any unlawful purpose
8. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll note the new effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of BorderLog after changes means you accept the updated terms.
9. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Manitoba and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Manitoba.
